By the second day, it stopped feeling like a planned trip and started feeling like we were travelling with someone who genuinely knew the place. We never felt rushed.
Most trips give you a schedule. This one gave us time. We could stop, ask questions, change pace and actually understand where we were.
What stayed with me wasn't one particular view or trail. It was all the small things our guide noticed and explained along the way. I would have walked past most of them on my own.
We came back with fewer photographs than usual and somehow many more stories.
